About candidate

About you
I’m G. Lakshmi Srujana, a passionate nutritionist and researcher who believes that food is more than fuel it’s information that shapes our physiology, emotions, and overall health. My career has been built on the intersection of science and empathy, from working on national nutrition surveys and laboratory food analysis at ICMR NIN to guiding individuals toward healing through personalized, functional nutrition.

I’ve always been fascinated by the gut how the microbiome communicates with every system in the body and holds the key to both prevention and recovery. This curiosity led me to explore nutrigenomics and functional medicine, helping clients understand the root causes of their metabolic, hormonal, and gastrointestinal concerns, not just their symptoms.

As a Functional Nutritionist and Nutrigenomic Associate, I integrate genetics, microbiome insights, and clinical biomarkers to design evidence-based, sustainable nutrition plans. My goal is to bring research to real life to translate complex data into compassionate care that empowers people to feel better, think clearer, and live with vitality.

At heart, I’m a lifelong learner who values precision, purpose, and people. Whether working in research, clinical settings, or client-based consultations, I strive to combine science, empathy, and curiosity to make nutrition truly transformative from the gut, outward.
What are you looking for in a new role?
In my next role, I’m looking for an opportunity that allows me to connect more deeply with clients to engage, educate, and empower them through personalized, evidence-based nutrition care. I want to be part of a space where I can understand diverse body types, lifestyles, and metabolic patterns, helping individuals discover what truly works for them rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

I’m seeking a role that blends science and human connection one that values client engagement, continuous learning, and innovation in gut health and functional medicine. My goal is to expand the client base by building trust, delivering tangible results, and creating meaningful transformations through nutrition that addresses the root cause, not just the symptoms.
What you are interested in working with us?
I’m deeply drawn to your organization’s vision of advancing personalized, evidence-based nutrition something that strongly aligns with my own professional values. Having worked in both research and client-focused roles, I’ve seen how the right guidance can transform health from the root, especially when it integrates gut health and functional medicine principles.

I’m excited about the opportunity to collaborate with a team that values science, innovation, and compassion equally. Working here would allow me to engage with more clients, understand diverse body responses, and apply my knowledge in nutrigenomics and functional nutrition to create real, measurable impact in people’s lives.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the most challenging yet rewarding roles I’ve handled involved counseling an obese patient who was struggling with multiple diet-related issues. Beyond managing his nutritional plan, the real challenge was helping him shift his mindset and motivating him to take consistent action toward better health.

It wasn’t just about calories or restrictions it was about rebuilding his relationship with food and helping his family understand that lifestyle changes, not medications alone, could turn things around. I spent time educating them about how small, sustained improvements in diet and exercise could not only improve his well-being but also reduce the family’s growing medical expenses.

Seeing his gradual transformation from skepticism to self-belief, from dependency to discipline reminded me why I chose this field. It reaffirmed that true nutrition care is not only science-driven but also deeply human, built on patience, empathy, and understanding.

Dear Hiring Manager,

I’m writing to express my interest in the nutrition role at your organization. With a master’s degree in Applied Nutrition from ICMR–National Institute of Nutrition and hands-on experience spanning clinical dietetics, functional nutrition, and nutrigenomics, I’ve built my career around understanding how food truly shapes health  from the gut outward.

Over the years, I’ve worked on national research projects, analyzed food samples across India, and developed millet- and moringa-based products through fortification studies. Yet, my most fulfilling experiences have come from working directly with clients helping them overcome diet-related challenges through evidence-based, personalized care. As a Functional Nutritionist, I’ve learned that the most meaningful transformations happen when science meets empathy.

My current role has deepened my expertise in gut microbiome health, functional medicine, and client engagement. I’ve seen firsthand how understanding individual genetics and metabolic responses can empower people to take charge of their well-being. I’m now seeking an opportunity that allows me to engage with a wider client base, continue exploring functional and integrative approaches, and contribute to innovative, research-led initiatives that make measurable impact.

I admire how your organization blends scientific insight with a people-first approach, and I would be thrilled to bring my skills, curiosity, and dedication to your team. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your mission.

Warm regards,
G. Lakshmi Srujana
