Medical Transcription Trainer

I am Mamatha Rao, aged 53 years, a mother of two grown up and married sons. I started my career in 1999 as a Medical Transcriptionist. I underwent one year rigorous full time training in MT and worked in the same organization for two years. In 2003 I joined another MT company in Hyderabad and was promoted as a Proof Reader & Editor due to my proficiency in English grammar and documentation skills. I noticed the huge gap in skills of new hires and understood the importance of training. In 2006 I started training candidates for MT and found it fulfilling. It gave me immense satisfaction to share my knowledge, research and learn new things on a daily basis. I have trained more than 800+ candidates in the field of MT till the year 2016. I qualified my CPC and took up training candidates for medical coding and billing along with medical transcription. Training has always been my passion and I draw my energy from it.

I love to learn new things and share my knowledge with users who can make the best use of it. I want to reach out to new learners anywhere across the world and impart new skills. I also want to use my online teaching skills to have a good impact on the learners.

I understand that effective learning and education is moving towards digital as most of the users want to attend sessions without the hassle of travel. Even as an experienced trainer, I would love to train users virtually and make it interesting and effective. Since your organization is offering a part time virtual trainer position I would be interested to apply for this.

I have never looked at anything as a challenge as I believe in continuous learning. The only reason I resigned from my last job was because I did not have sufficient work to do. As an experienced trainer in the field for 18+ years, it was challenging to let the management understand the importance of training. I put my efforts to show the importance of skills and the training needed to acquire those skills. From being a solo trainer, the organisation went ahead to build a training department and recruited trainers for each department.
