About you
I am an online education consultant and learning experience strategist with 30+ years in education, instructional leadership, and program design. I partner with educators and organizations to improve online and blended learning through clear course structures, inclusive learning experiences, and practical faculty coaching. I’m known for translating complex challenges into actionable solutions, using feedback and learning data to guide improvements, and building digital environments where learners feel supported and able to succeed.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I am looking for a fully remote role where I can help educators and organizations strengthen online learning in real, measurable ways. I thrive when I can collaborate with teachers and program leaders to redesign courses, improve learner engagement, and build inclusive digital environments. I’m especially interested in roles that value practical problem-solving, thoughtful use of learner data, and professional learning that supports educators with clarity, momentum, and respect.
What you are interested in working with us?
I’m interested in working with you because this role focuses on what matters most in virtual learning: access, quality, and meaningful outcomes. I appreciate the emphasis on partnering with educators, improving course experiences, and using feedback and data to drive real progress. Your approach aligns with how I work - human-centered, practical, and collaborative - helping teams move beyond generic eLearning toward online programs that truly support diverse learners.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the most challenging experiences I’ve faced was leading learning and program improvement work in environments where needs were urgent, resources were limited, and change fatigue was real. The complexity wasn’t only technical - it was human. Educators needed support without overwhelm, and learners needed stability and access. Navigating competing priorities while building trust required patience, clarity, and consistent follow-through. That experience strengthened my ability to simplify complexity and lead progress through practical steps.
Dear Hiring Team,
I am applying for the Online Education Consultant role because I care deeply about helping online learning work for real people – educators, learners, and organizations seeking meaningful outcomes rather than generic eLearning. I bring 30+ years of experience across education, instructional leadership, and program design, and I specialize in turning remote learning challenges into clear, practical improvements that strengthen engagement, access, and progress.
In my work, I partner directly with teachers and program leaders to identify where online learning is falling short and redesign courses and learning journeys that support genuine learning. I help educators refresh content for virtual delivery, improve course structure within LMS platforms, and translate student and instructor feedback into actionable enhancements. I’m comfortable working across common tools for virtual instruction and collaboration (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, Trello, Slack) and I use learning analytics and qualitative feedback to guide continuous improvement.
I also bring strength in developing educators through one-on-one coaching and facilitation of workshops focused on everyday classroom wins. I’m known for making digital tools approachable and helping teams build confidence and consistency in online instruction. Because I’ve led complex initiatives across cross-functional teams, I’m comfortable managing projects from concept through launch, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring decisions remain grounded in learner needs.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my background and approach can help you strengthen online learning at scale while keeping the experience human, inclusive, and effective.
Warm regards,
Anna Downey, EdD
