About candidate
Alternatively I've always loved creating games, starting back with making Flash games in high-school. Since then I've always made small personal projects whether it was flash games, android applications, or Unity games. A few years ago I decided I wanted to create my own full fledged Virtual Reality game, so I went full time into creating Disc Frenzy, a VR disc golf game. Being the sole developer on Disc Frenzy, I designed and developed all the game play features in Disc Frenzy, as well as handled the lighting, optimizing, bug fixing, and everything that comes along with creating a commercial game.
I enjoying designing, developing, and seeing a feature through to production, and seeing the impact it has on the product.
I also enjoy leveraging new technologies and seeing how they can be used to deliver new experiences, and Unity offers plenty of opportunities to do that.
I also think my experiences and qualifications fit very well with the job posting, and the work lines up well with my own personal interests as well. I have experience and am very comfortable working remotely, while completing my tasks on time and being available throughout the day.
The solution was to use message queues, to split up the process into it's simplest form, and send those as messages on the queue to be processed by a target micro-service. The target micro-service could then also spin up new threads to process the incoming messages diminishing the processing time needed.
Dear Hiring Team,
I’m excited to apply for the Remote Unity Developer position. With over seven years of experience in software development and a strong focus on Unity and C#, I’ve spent the past several years designing and building immersive experiences across XR, desktop, and mobile platforms. I’m passionate about crafting interactive worlds that blend performance, creativity, and accessibility, values that align perfectly with your team’s mission.
As the founder and lead developer at SupraOrbital Studios, I developed Disc Frenzy, a multiplayer VR disc-golf game built for Meta Quest, SteamVR, and PSVR 2. I handled the full lifecycle, from gameplay design and physics simulation to networking, performance optimization, and cross-platform deployment. This hands-on work strengthened my ability to write clean, scalable code, build custom Unity tools for faster iteration, and collaborate across art, design, and QA disciplines. Before that, I worked professionally in enterprise software using C#, Java, and Spring Boot, where I honed my backend architecture and data-driven problem-solving skills, foundations that now inform my Unity development and system design decisions.
I’m particularly drawn to your inclusive culture and cross-industry focus. The idea of collaborating with a diverse global team to create products that span gaming, healthcare, and education is deeply motivating. I value clear communication, peer review, and mentorship, and I believe in writing code that others can learn from and build upon.
I’d love the opportunity to contribute my Unity expertise, technical creativity, and passion for immersive technology to your projects. Thank you for your time and consideration, I’d be thrilled to discuss how my experience could help drive your team’s next innovations.
Best regards,
Francis Tremblay Pelletier
