About candidate

About you
I have 20 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been a Texas approved supervisor since 2012. In 2015, I left my position as Program Director at Texas Tech University to go full-time into private practice. I currently work telehealth only with adult individual clients, in addition to providing supervision and consultations services.
What are you looking for in a new role?
I'm always interested in new opportunities as they arise.
What you are interested in working with us?
Based on the job description I reviewed online, I am a high match to all the stated requirements, both in terms of education and experience. I have been fully telehealth in my private practice since 2022 and am a huge supporter of online therapy as a way of serving clients.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
I loved most of my time at Texas Tech, 9 years of which as a Program Director. Eventually I felt like I had reached the ceiling of my opportunities there, unless I chose to dedicate the time and money for a doctorate degree.

I’m excited to apply for the Online Therapy Director position. With twenty years of experience as a licensed professional counselor and over ten years as a clinical supervisor, I’m energized by the opportunity to shape accessible, innovative digital mental health care grounded in quality, compassion, and impact.

In my current role supervising clinicians of all levels of experience, I lead with empathy, clarity, and strategic oversight — supporting clinicians across settings, guiding professional development, and ensuring ethical, client-centered practice. Throughout the different roles in my career, I’ve built training structures, systems for clinical documentation and quality assurance, and environments that honor well-being for both clients and clinicians. These experiences align directly with responsibilities described for this role, including guiding therapists across time zones, refining programs, and balancing strategic goals.

I’m a proponent of digital platforms to remove barriers and make meaningful therapy experiences possible for diverse populations — whether someone is navigating anxiety, trauma, or life transitions. My leadership blends clinical and leadership expertise that well matches this role.

I look forward to learning more about this role and company soon. I am also interested in learning more regarding other part or full time positions you are seeking to fill.

Thank you.

Carol Kent, MBA, MEd, LPS-S
